The UCMS alumni all over the globe are delighted that Dr. Vivek Kaul, Professor at the University of Rochester Medical Center, has been elected President-Elect 2026 of the World Gastroenterology Organization. This is one of the highest honors in the world for a gastroenterologist.

For those who have known Dr. Kaul and have had the pleasure of working with him or learning under him, this recognition is the culmination of 25 years of hard work, dedication to the craft, commitment to education, and advancement of the field of interventional gastroenterology.
